She owned and operated Hazel's Shoreline Beauty Shop for 38 years in the Goldenrod and Shelton Buildings at York Beach. After closing the shop, she continued her profession in her front porch beauty salon. Besides attending their matches, she would also help in transporting her son's wrestling team and brought them home after many a practice. Her father, Ralph Lloyd, was the youngest of 13 children where they lived in Caribou. He figured he wasn't going to get much of the farm, so they moved to southern Maine for the warmer winters. You would have to be from there to understand that.Hazel was the most wonderful and loving mother God ever created. She told her children to never think they were better than anyone else and to always do the right thing.
